Artist's life

artist

There was a guest lecture last few weeks and she discussed with us about Singapore Graphic Design history, which was very interesting. And she pointed out this common reaction of parents upon hearing their kids wanting to grow up to become an artist or a designer in Singapore during the 80s and 90s. Even till today, I still hear such objection from parents.

"Ma, I want be artist when I grow up"
Sound of iron: BAAAZAAAAM!!
"NO!"

Luckily my parents are the ones who gives me freedom to choose what I want to do. In fact, they themselves are the ones who went through the "BAAAAZAAAM" times and didn't make it to the Arts industry.
